The short version

Why Chairful exists

If you run an appointment business, your market is invisible from behind the chair. You cannot see what the salon two streets over charges, how their ratings compare to yours, or that they quietly put their prices up last month. Your customers can see all of it. You are the only one working blind.

Chairful corrects that imbalance. We read the public pages your customers already see, across 7,000+ Australian suburbs and more than 100 kinds of appointment business, so you know exactly what is happening on your street: prices, reputations, demand, and the money quietly walking out the door. We hold more than 200,000 businesses, in every state and territory.

What we already hold

We are not a search box waiting for you to type something in. The work is done before you arrive. Your suburb is mapped, the businesses around you are identified, and their public pages are read and recorded. Every state and territory is covered, from hair and barbering to beauty, physio, allied health, psychology and childcare.

You do not commission the research. You log in and read it.

Where your prices actually sit

You set a number years ago, nudged it once, and have been defending it ever since without knowing whether it is high, low or invisible.

We hold what the businesses around you publish, service by service, so you know exactly where you sit on a cut, a colour, an initial consult, a standard treatment. If you are the cheapest on your street by fifteen dollars, that is not an advantage, that is money you give away on every booking. If you are the dearest, you need to know it, because your customers already do.

The decision is yours to make: raise it, hold it, or justify it. You need the number first.

The reputation gap you cannot see from inside

Your rating is not a score. It is a comparison. The same rating is excellent on one street and a slow leak on the next, and nothing inside your own business tells you which street you are on.

We track ratings and review counts for the businesses near you, so you know exactly which side of that line you sit. Volume matters as much as the rating itself, because a competitor with far more reviews behind the same stars looks safer to a stranger choosing between you. We hold the ratings and the counts only. We never store the words anybody wrote.

What moved this week

Markets do not announce themselves. A competitor raises prices on a Tuesday and nobody tells you. A business opens six streets away and you hear about it three months later, from a client who is already going there.

We watch continuously, so a change goes on the record when it happens rather than when you notice. A price move nearby tells you the range on your street has shifted. A new opening is a reason to look at your quiet Tuesdays before they get quieter. A competitor's rating sliding is an opening, not a curiosity. What you do about any of it is your call, made on public information, the same information they can see about you.

That is why Pro is $29 a month and not a one-off report. A report is out of date the week you read it. The watching is the product.

Nobody can pay to change what is shown

No business can buy a better position, a kinder number, or the quiet removal of an inconvenient one. We sell no advertising, no placement and no sponsored rankings, so there is nothing to buy. Nothing but the public record decides where a business sits.

Every business we hold appears, including the ones with almost nothing to report. A competitor who publishes no prices anywhere still shows up, and the entry says so. Leaving them out would be the bigger distortion. An absence would suggest we never mapped that street, when the truth is we mapped all of it and they are the one staying quiet.

What we will not do

We only show figures we actually hold. We hold every state and territory. Where a market is thinner we say so plainly on the surface itself, rather than dressing it up. We read public pages only, the same pages any customer can open, nothing behind a login and nothing about your own customers. We hold review ratings and counts, never review text. Your market is public and so is theirs, but we never tell a business who looked it up. And seeing your market stays free, whether or not you ever pay us a cent.

Independent by design

Chairful is not a marketplace. It sells no advertising, no placement and no sponsored rankings, so there is no sales team steering the numbers and no advertiser to please. Nothing here is for sale except a clear view of your own market. That independence is the whole point: the record is only worth reading because no business can change it.
