Chairful. Last updated 16 August 2026. Written to be read.
This policy explains what personal information we collect across chairful.com.au, the Chairful app, and the reports we mail, why we collect it, how it is stored, and your rights. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to third parties for their marketing. The market data we show is read from public pages. For reviews we publish counts only: we never store review text, we never collect reviewer names, and we never quote anyone.
When you create a Chairful account: your first name, email address and password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us), or your Google sign-in, plus the business you connect to your account, your industry and team size.
When you request a report through our older forms: your business name, the booking link you paste in, your email address, an optional mobile number, and your consent to be contacted with the time you gave it. To prepare that report we review the publicly visible parts of the booking flow you submit, the same pages any client would see. We do not access anything behind a login and we do not view any client or appointment data.
When you open a report link from one of our letters: we log that the report was opened and when, so we know the letter arrived.
When you browse the site: we use privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) that counts page views without cookies and without building personal profiles.
Chairful's product is built on publicly available business information: venue names, locations, service menus, prices, Google ratings and review counts, read from the public pages businesses publish. Where a business is a sole trader, some of that business information can be personal information under the Privacy Act, and we handle it under the same principles as everything else here. If information we show about your business is inaccurate or out of date, tell us at hello@chairful.com.au and we will correct it.
Some Chairful surfaces show which topics customers raise in a business's public reviews, for example how often value, waiting times or communication come up. Exactly how that works, because the detail is the point:
To run your market view and keep it watched, to deliver reports you request and follow up about them, including related offers you may find useful, and to operate and improve the service. We do not use your details for anything unrelated to that.
Account and market data live in our database, hosted in Australia. Emails are sent through Resend, and the site and app are hosted on Vercel. Access is limited to the people who need it to deliver the service.
Information that leaves Australia. Two things are handled overseas: email delivery through Resend, and the topic counting described above, which sends review text with no author attached to an artificial intelligence provider in the United States. Nothing else about your account or your business leaves the country, and we choose providers whose terms prohibit using what we send to train their models.
We honour opt-out requests promptly, and every marketing email we send identifies us and carries a working unsubscribe link.
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles you can ask us at any time to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct information that is inaccurate or out of date, or delete your information from our systems. Send any request to hello@chairful.com.au and we will action it as quickly as we can. If you believe we have mishandled your information you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
